Stakeholder child trust fund accounts offer a better investment return than their cash-based counterparts over the long-term, one expert has made clear.
Mike Bingham, from the Family Investments company, is convinced that stakeholder CTFs are the best way for parents to give their children a solid financial start to their adult lives.
And the spokesperson from the financial services firm points out that government figures show that close to three-quarters of all British parents who have opened a CTF account have decided to take up a stakeholder option.
"You do have some risk-averse parents and you do have some parents that are choosing cash, but the majority of parents are happy to have their money invested," he said.
"This is clearly the dominant version and that hasn't really changed since the account was launched [in 2002]," he added.
Family Investments claims to be the UK's leading provider of CTF options, boasting 30 years of experience in helping British families save for their future.
