A podcast aimed at helping new and prospective parents get the most out of their child trust funds (CTFs) has been launched.
Each parent in the UK receives a £250 gift voucher to get their CTF saving underway and HM Revenues & Customs (HMRC) has introduced the new online broadcast in an effort to encourage greater use of these funds.
The podcast lasts for five minutes and gives an explanation of some of the basic facts about how CTFs operate and which kinds of fund are available to be opened on behalf of the very youngest Britons.
"If you're a parent or guardian, or you're about to become one, find out all you need to know about CTF by downloading the podcast for free from HMRC's website," a statement from the organisation read.
Last month, the Tax Incentivised Savings Association reported that parents around the UK continue to increase their rate of contribution to CTFs despite problems with the wider economy.
