Investors are invited to take advantage of a new hedge fund from the Britannic Cartesian team.
Britannic Asset Management is launching the UK Equity Long Short Fund, managed by Cartesian Capital Partners - Andrew Kelly and David Stevenson.
Andrew Kelly and David Stevenson provide the intellectual capital and fund management in the partnership and multi-specialist investment provider Britannic provides distribution, marketing and access to research.
"We're delighted to be launching a second Cartesian fund," said Jonathan Polin of Britannic Asset Management.
"Andrew Kelly and David Stevenson have a proven track record in running hedge funds - Andrew formerly managed the Saltire hedge fund at SVM. This gives us another specialist high conviction product to take to market."
Andrew Kelly said he plans to use assets primarily relating to UK companies and those listed on the London Stock Exchange.
He said: "We anticipate good opportunities for alpha generation from both longs and shorts. Despite strong performance of equity markets since early 2003, many companies continue to trade well and offer good investment potential."
