An increasing number of British consumers are turning to professional advisors for tips on how best to save for retirement, it has been revealed.
According to Unbiased, the number of people aiming to access expert advice on saving for retirement rose considerably during the first three months of this year.
The company aims to help consumers find an independent financial advisor (IFA) and according to its latest figures saving for retirement is the number one reason behind requests for its services.
Meanwhile, the second most significant force behind the search for an appropriate IFA has been interest in more general saving and investment advice.
David Elms, Unbiased's chief executive, said: "Our latest report demonstrates that when economic conditions are unpredictable, consumers seek independent financial advisers as their guides through hazardous markets."
Last week, the financial services firm LV= suggested that prospective pensioners across the UK are more concerned than ever about retirement saving issues.
